Distinguish home school and FPE school: Missouri law separately defines home schools and Family Paced Education schools. MOScholars participation uses the FPE route and its own requirements. Follow instruction and record rules: For the applicable compulsory-attendance ages, the law specifies instruction hours, core subjects, learning logs, work samples, and evaluation evidence. Review the current statute and its age exceptions. Keep the right supporting evidence: A calendar of suggested activities does not establish the required hours. Maintain your own records of instruction and academic progress and follow any scholarship agreement.
