Provide equivalent instruction: Indiana treats a homeschool as a nonpublic, nonaccredited school. Instruction must be in English and equivalent to that provided in public schools. Record attendance: Provide at least 180 instructional days and keep attendance records. Records must be available when lawfully requested; they are not a routine annual report to the department. Choose and document curriculum: The state does not prescribe a homeschool curriculum. Keep work and progress records for future placement and check the separate rules of any scholarship program.
