Plan equivalent instruction: Connecticut law requires equivalent instruction in the specified subjects. Read section 10-184 through the state guidance before deciding on your program. Contact your local district: The state asks families to contact the superintendent’s office about notification and local procedures. Its suggested attendance logs and portfolios are described as best practices, not a separate statewide curriculum mandate. Plan for a possible return to school: Discuss placement and high-school credit with the receiving district. Homeschool work is not automatically accepted for graduation credit.
